We place high value on discipleship. Jesus didn’t tell us to “Go make converts”; He said, “Go make disciples.” We believe that instilling a solid foundation of God’s Word in the hearts of young people will set them on a path of personal success — a path that enables them to make the biggest impact for God’s Kingdom.

LaunchPad is our after-school discipleship program, focused on educating young adults in the Word of God and equipping them for ministry in their local churches. It is our goal to help students discover what God’s Word says about things like service, relationships, and our growth as Christians.

We are passionate about training our students in Godliness so they can make wise choices, effectively represent Christ, and leverage their lives for the glory of God. These young leaders — armed with real understanding of Biblical truths — are influencing those around them and leaving God’s fingerprint on their communities.

Classes
LaunchPad classes are taught in 6 rural villages each week by our team of staff and interns. Each class is an hour-and-a-half long and is set up to be as fun and engaging as possible. Students follow along in their workbooks during the main teaching time and participate in games and activities, a time of worship and prayer, and small group discussions.

Each term ends with a celebration for students who faithfully completed the classes. At each graduation, students share how God’s Word changed their lives and how God has used them to impact others. It is an exciting time of rejoicing over the power of God’s Word to transform lives.

Curriculum
The curriculum we teach is developed in-house to be culturally-relevant for African youth. The four-year progression of classes include:

• Foundations of Faith - Discovering what God’s Word says about the basics of Christian faith
• Ordinary Day with Jesus - Experiencing God’s presence in the moments of our everyday lives (adapted from Willow Creek’s curriculum by the same name)
• Becoming a Contagious Christian - Learning to share your faith with others in a way that best fits your personality and style (adapted from Willow Creek’s curriculum by the same name)
• Christ in You - Understanding and walking in the reality of what it means to have Christ in you
• Love, Sex, and Relationships - Learning and embracing God’s best plan for our lives in the area of relationships
• Digging Deep -An in-depth study of the Old Testament
• Pressing On - An in-depth study of the New Testament and how to study God’s Word for yourself
