As a Twenty4Seven intern, your days will be packed with hands-on involvement in various aspects of ministry on the mission field, giving you an accurate first-hand view of full-time missions.

• Teach discipleship classes in rural villages
• Facilitate pastors’ conferences and other training events
• Attend weekly classes taught by full-time missionaries
• Host mission teams and engage in relationship evangelism
• Serve in the day-to-day operation of Thrive Africa

This is not an internship where you just file papers and go on coffee runs for the staff. For one, there’s not a coffee shop around for miles, but that’s not the point. Here, you’re going to be the one out in the villages teaching classes; you’re going to be doing relationship evangelism, spending time with people in their homes. You’ll also be assisting in the office and around the base, realizing quickly that 80% of ministry is the behind-the-scenes stuff that takes place before you even get to the village. This is the place where you will learn what real mission work is.

You’ll be immersed in classes and outreaches that concentrate on practical ministry in a cross-cultural format. Through the knowledge and skills sharpened by this experience on the mission field, you’ll be empowered with the tools and resources you need for a lifelong commitment to missions.

You’ll have plenty of ministry opportunities in a number of different contexts, including relationship evangelism, teaching classes, and children’s ministry. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your worldview by serving other missionaries in Southern Africa.

Twenty4Seven is perfect for anyone interested in serving the Lord in a different capacity overseas and who desires to intentionally grow closer to Christ. If the picture in your head when you hear the word “missionary” is a bit hazy, this program will give you a clearer understanding of what it really means. You’ll learn it by living it.

Students needing cross-cultural internship credit for college would also benefit from this program. We are committed to working closely with schools to fulfill any requirements that may be necessary.
